Good compression, easy start, no smoke, and plenty of power for a 110. And hard to start due to low compression. Nicholson 110 (That takes an atc70 tank) Ascott 500 head/350x (Project) Homebuilt Racer Chromoly Suspension 110 (Ragin Runt) PK Racing Suspension 70. That engine was rough - had the nastiest oil I think I've ever seen and a 3/8" ring of muck in the centrifical "filter". The lifan is based on the atc70,z50 engine cases and it is smaller than an atc90/110/125 engine. gasket set includig valve seal($? cheap) re-used the piston, just cleaned it well, especially the ring lands dingleball honed the cylinder (Dave's again, $10 I think) The guy at the local shop (Dave's Cycle on Round Rock TX FYI for locals) had the right spring compressor so I took him the head and he pulled the valves for me then put them back in when I came back with the finished work When I built my 90/110 hybrid trike, I used an 84 110 engine and electrics. Here's a sweet GPX into 90/110 conversion build thread:ĭon't know if the pics are still there - I can't tell at work. The Lifan / Chinese engines use Honda 50/70cc mounting - slightly different from the 90/110/125.ĭ covers this pretty well for swapping Lifan into CT90. Or is there something else I can use? I don t want to go totally crazy with the swap, but if I have to completely redo the 110 anyway, why not go bigger/better? Thanks for any advice. But is the rear mounting the same on the Lifan vs the 110? I was looking more at the 140 or 150 motors they offer. This item is in the category eBay MotorsParts & AccessoriesATV, Side-by-Side & UTV Parts & AccessoriesEngines & Components. I know the Lifan has no front mount on the head, and the ATC110 requires this to strengthen the frame, but this part is not a concern for me as the frame will be getting modified as well, so I can easily add a downtube and run it under the motor to make the frame rigid and not require the motor attachment up front. I've seen that the Lifan engines are a possibility, but no concrete yes/no answers. Googled and searched several sites, but no real solid swap info. I got the strange feeling that bad rings sin't the only thing I'm gonna find in there due to running it like that.
